One dead in Spring HS stabbing, others injured; No more immediate danger

The stabbing happened around 7am Wednesday morning.

Officials have confirmed one person is dead and others were injured in the stabbing at Spring High School shortly after 7am today. They say it appears no one else is in immediate danger.

The incident happened at the high school on Cypresswood at North Freeway at the beginning of the school day. Multiple people were stabbed. Life Flight transported at least one student to the hospital.

The school is on lockdown, . Spring ISD officials are now asking parents to wait at a nearby Conns parking lot for the release of students.

Two people were taken in handcuffs, but it's not clear at this point if they were suspects in the stabbing. As much as an hour later, two more people were taken into custody.

Traffic around the school is at a near standstill. If you don't have to drive near it, you're advised not to.
