The FBI needs the public's help in a recent unsolved armored car heist, and is now releasing a sketch of the suspect to generate tips in the case. The heist happened in broad daylight and outside of a busy shopping center on Tuesday, August 13.

At about 2:15pm, a robber armed with a handgun approached a carrier for the Loomis Armored Car Service during a stop at the Movie Tavern located at 15719 North Freeway. The man racked the slide of his gun as he pointed it at the carrier.

Authorities say the robber grabbed the bag and ran to the east along the sidewalk and towards the North Freeway. Witnesses observed the robber getting into a dark colored Pontiac sedan driven by an unknown individual. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
