Missing Cypress teens found safe in San Antonio

HOUSTON

First Metropolitan Church in northwest Houston hosted a vigil Saturday night with the families of 16-year-old Liana Andrews and 14-year-old Kacie Watson. By Sunday afternoon, the teens were back home.

The girls disappeared August 16 from Andrews' home in Cypress, along with the Andrews family's Chrysler Sebring. The car was found in San Antonio on Tuesday, but there was no sign of what happened to the teens.

"The family is strong. Their faith is strong," First Metropolitan Church Pastor John Ogletree Jr. said at the vigil. "That's why we're here praying to let them know how many people are standing with them, believing God, that these girls will return."

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, both girls -- who were classified as runaways -- were found in downtown San Antonio. Officials said they were reunited with their families and are back home.
