It all started around 10:30pm when a Houston police officer ran the license plate on a pickup and it came back as stolen. The officer tried to pull over the driver on Franklin Street in downtown Houston, but the driver fled, leading police to the South Loop and eventually abandoning the car on Long Street.
The suspect ran into the woods and hid from officers, but police called in a helicopter and K-9 units to help them comb the area.
Police arrested the suspect about 10 minutes later.
