Detectives learn more about remains found in NW Liberty County

HOUSTON

The remains were discovered on April 12 and 13 near Highway 59 and County Road 322.

Sheriff deputies and Texas Equusearch volunteers discovered the human skull and other bones. The bones were then sent to a lab at the University of North Texas for tests.

On Thursday, those results were released, and they show the person was a Hispanic or Latino man between the ages of 15 and 20 years old.

Scientists say the unidentified man was also approximately 5'3 to 5'6 inches tall.

Officials still have not identified the victim, but say this case is a high-priority investigation.
