Truck torched by Molotov cocktail in north Houston

Investigators are looking for the person who intentionally set a truck on fire in north Houston.

Neighbors living on Heite at Crosstimbers say they were startled by a loud bang and looked outside to see a truck on fire. Officials believe someone threw a Molotov cocktail at a truck, torching the inside of the vehicle.

Family members say the truck owner is in Hawaii serving in the military, and had just paid off his truck.

"I have oxygen in the house," said Tonette Thompson. "If this truck would have caught my house on fire, it would have blown up and killed all us. So whoever did this, they don't understand. They could have killed my entire family."

Houston police say the suspect got away in a black Honda with paper license tags.
