Neighbors are coming together to help a family who lost two loved ones in a home explosion in Montgomery County.

Some 2,000 people showed up at a barbeque and live auction to raise money to cover the funeral expenses for Jennifer Mock and Lena Knight. The benefit will also help pay medical expenses for Mock's infant grandson, who survived with severe burns.

"The community getting together, a lot of friends, a lot of family that wanted to step in," said Stacy Harris, who helped organize the benefit. "We just got our committees together, meetings every week, lots of donations, lot of volunteers."

Mock and Knight were killed when their home in Dobbin exploded in June. Investigators believe a stove ignited propane gas in the home.
