Police in Rosenberg are thanking the public for their help in locating a missing disabled man.

Armando Barrera Gutierrez, 51, disappeared around 10:30pm in the Reserve subdivision behind Brazos Town Center. According to police, he has severe mental disabilities, causing him to become disoriented, and was possibly heavily medicated.

According to Rosenberg police, an early-morning outpouring of community support helped locate Gutierrez.

"Calls and posting on your Facebook pages helped in finding this person in less than an hour. He was found walking down the roadway within a mile from his home," RPD posted on their Facebook page. "When the community cares and works together with the police quick resolution is inevitable."
