Authorities in Fort Bend County need help finding a special needs man who ran away from his Stafford-area home on Independence Day.

Thomas Chacko, 37, was last seen Thursday at his home in the 2800 block of Dove Country. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, Chacko is schizophrenic and is in need of medication.

Investigators say Chacko became angry after his family announced they were moving back to India. Family members believe he took off with his passport but left his phone and medications behind.

Chacko doesn't know anyone in the area, but he has been known to attend New Testament Church on West Shaw in Pasadena.

He is described as an Indian male, 5 feet, 9 inches in height and weighs about 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and when last seen was wearing a black jacket, blue slacks and a white and blue polo shirt.

Anyone who has information concerning Chacko is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 281-341-4665.
