It happened just before noon on the Northwest Freeway eastbound at Mueschke.
Details on the accident were not immediately released, but only one other vehicle -- an SUV -- was involved.
Two occupants in the SUV were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
Crews cleared the big rig from the accident around 3:30pm and were in the final stages of clean up. All eastbound lanes were expected to be open by around 4pm.
