Search teams mounted on horseback are searching for a man missing since early this month.

Westley Allen Moore, 30, was last seen on June 9. Authorities from Polk, Hardin and Liberty counties are working together, along with Texas EquuSearch and the Liberty County Sheriff Department's Mounted Posse, to search the length of a pipeline near the 6800 block of Outlaw Bend in the Big Thicket Retreat subdivision, where the three counties merge. The search began in Hardin County where Moore was last seen.

Moore's aunt, Ramona Barker, says her nephew was despondent over the crib death of his 3-month-old child three years ago and disappeared on the child's birthday.

Moore is described as a 5-foot-6, 230-pound white man with blue eyes, red hair, a bulldog tattoo on his abdomen and other tattoos on his left arm and inside right leg.

Anyone with information about Moore is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff Department at 936-336-4500 and speak to Sgt. Investigator Kenny Dagle or call the Hardin County Sheriff's Dept. at 409-246-3441 or the Polk County Sheriff's Dept. at 936-327-6810.
