New Astrodome plan to be sent to county agencies

HOUSTON

Last week the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation went through all the suggestions and found the best one. They want the Eighth Wonder of the World to be renovated and turned into an events center.

The commissioners voted unanimously to send the proposal to county agencies for review.

If the commissioners court ultimately approves the idea, it could cost voters $194 million. If local bond money is needed, it will then go on the November ballot.
