Ryan Simon faced a judge Tuesday morning. He's accused of killing Ricelda Garcia-Munoz in her home back in April.
Simon was arrested last week after police say DNA evidence linked him to the crime scene. He's charged with capital murder.
Investigators say Simon told them the victim let him into her house, then he made advances to her. Police say Simon told them he stabbed the woman after she slapped him.
