Alicia Bell was arrested Monday afternoon on charges of arson and burglary in connection to an early morning Sunday fire at a home in the 3000 block of Red Meadows Drive in Birnham Woods, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Firefighters had arrived on scene to fire the blaze raging through the attic of a two-story house and it took crews from The Woodlands, Needham and Spring to control it before it spread to neighboring homes.
During an investigation, detectives determined that the home had been ransacked and several fires had been started in different parts of the house. Investigators later identified Bell as the suspect.
Bell was booked into the Montgomery County Jail but later released on a $50,000 bond.
