3 deadly bombing attacks in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq

Officials say one of the blasts was in a restaurant in Taji, on a highway linking Baghdad to several northern Sunni-majority cities. The bomb was left inside the restaurant and seven people were killed and 25 were wounded.

Police say another bomb was placed on a minibus in Taji, killing two commuters and wounding 11 others. And in the western town of Fallujah, a suicide bomber set off explosives among a group of policemen, killing three and wounding 21. The policemen were waiting for buses to take them to a polling station to cast their ballots for Iraq's provincial elections.

Today's attacks follow a day when at least 51 people were killed in a wave of bombs and shootings across the country.
