A woman was found shot to death in a gated community in northeast Harris County on Monday. And now sheriff's deputies are determining what happened to the woman during her final moments.

The victim's house is in a gated community called Park Lakes Canyon. Her grieving family invited us in as deputies try to get to the bottom line. But security quickly asked us to leave, saying the homeowner's association doesn't want this murder to make the neighborhood look bad.

Deputies had the house surrounded with crime tape and nearly 100 of the victim's family and close friends gathered outside the home waiting for more details about her murder. The victim has been identified as Priscilla Chunta Linsey, 44.

Family members tell Eyewitness News Linsey and her boyfriend got into a heated argument Sunday night. At some point, they say the woman sent her children to stay the night elsewhere.

By about 10am Monday, Linsey's father became worried when he hadn't heard from her. Relatives say he came to the home to check on her and found her dead inside.

Detectives say the woman's body was found in the living room. They say she was shot in the head.

Sgt. Felipe Rivera with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said, "We have a person of interest, we just have to track him down and talk to him."

Family members say the couple has been having trouble for some time.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Harris County Sheriffs Office Homicide Division at 713-967-5810. Take ABC13 with you!
