Three arrested in aggravated assault case

RICHMOND, TX

At about 8:45pm Tuesday, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the scene of an aggravated assault in the 7100 block of South Mason Road. Four suspects got into a fight, with one of them pulling a gun on the victim. The suspect tried to shoot the victim, but the gun didn't fire. The suspects were driving a small white vehicle, and during the brawl, one of the outside rearview mirrors on the car was damaged.

After the fight, the suspects fled. Deputies were familiar with one of the suspects, who had reportedly been connected to a deadly conduct case recently. A deputy recognized a name of another suspect, so deputies drove to his house, where they say they found the vehicle described by the victim. Three of the suspects were inside the vehicle and deputies also located a .25 caliber handgun inside.

Three of the four suspects were placed under arrest. Facing the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon are Ronnie Jones, 19, of the Richmond area; Asurubal Villa, 21, of Houston; and Jahfari Tracy, 18, of the Richmond area.

Jones also was charged with possession of marijuana (less than two ounces). Villa also faces a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

During the course of the investigation, detectives say Tracy confessed that he was involved in a previous deadly conduct case. That investigation is ongoing.

Detectives also are looking to locate the fourth suspect, only known as "Faded."

All three suspects remain in the Fort Bend County Jail, each with a $20,000 bond for the aggravated assault charges. Jones also has a $500 bond for the drug charge, while Villa has an additional $750 bond for the weapons charge.
