The shooting happened at the Astross Inn motel on West Cavalcade near the North Freeway around 3am.
According to authorities, guests at the motel heard gunshots and ran outside and disovered man shot in the median.
The gunshot victim was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital. He died at the hospital.
Police are investigating the shooting but have no suspects at this time.
