Homeless animals in Houston finding forever homes at Citizens for Animal Protection adoption event

HOUSTON

The event kicked off yesterday and continues today from 1 to 7pm at the CAP adoption facility, 17555 Katy Freeway.

With one day to go, CAP has already found homes for 139 homeless animals. All adoption fees have been waived during the event.

CAP would like to empty every cage in the shelter and send every animal home with a loving family by closing today. Regular adoption requirements apply.

Adoptions come with a variety of services, including age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment and microchipping.

CAP is a 501(c )3 nonprofit animal shelter focused on animal care and adoptions, outreach and humane education. The organization has been serving Houston and Harris County since 1972.
