Juror's research delays capital murder trial

HOUSTON

George Amezquita is charged with capital murder in the deaths of a Pasadena couple back in 2008. Testimony was originally set to begin Tuesday, but instead, the jury was dismissed.

One juror apparently admitted to researching capital punishment, then convincing other jurors to request their names not be released for fear of retribution.

The jury was sent home and the trial postponed until January 2014.
