Women behind aggravated southeast Houston robbery caught on video

HOUSTON

It happened around 11:15am on May 13. Houston police were called out to a robbery at a clothing store in the 6900 block of the Gulf Freeway near Woodridge

According to police, two Hispanic women entered the store and began to look at the merchandise. After making selections, the suspects reportedly approached the counter. As one of the women was checking out, the other went outside.

Police say the suspect who was checking out waited for the merchandise to be put in bags, then reached across the counter, grabbed the items and took off out of the store.

The clerk followed the suspect out to a vehicle where the other suspect was waiting. When the clerk tried to get the items back, police say one of the suspects pulled out a knife. Both suspects fled the scene in a shiny red four-door compact car.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 20 to 27 years of age, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. She is reported to have black hair worn in a ponytail, and a tattoo around her navel.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 30 to 38 years of age, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 144 pounds with black hair.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at (713) 222-TIPS (8477).
