Brazos County: Five confirmed cases and five probable cases of E. coli

HOUSTON

They say there are now 10 cases in the county altogether, five of which have been confirmed as E. coli and five that they say are probable cases because of the criteria of symptoms.

Of the confirmed cases, two young brothers are still recovering at Texas Children's Hospital.

Health workers say the time frame of the cases of the E. coli outbreak is from April 15 through April 22.

Symptoms of E. coli include severe stomach cramps, watery diarrhea and vomiting. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should seek medical help.

While most people get better within five to seven days, children under five years of age and people older than 65 are at risk of further complications.
