Bee County jail records show 24-year-old Mark Pillow of Beeville was being held Thursday on arson and murder charges. Bond has been set at $3 million on the counts related to Saturday's fire in Beeville.
The body of 65-year-old Dorothy Pillow was in the rubble. Beeville police Chief Joe Trevino says a coroner ruled the death a homicide. No cause of death was immediately released.
Jail records don't list an attorney for the grandson, who was arrested Sunday. Mark Pillow was jailed on a charge of possession of marijuana when the arson and murder counts were added. Bond in the drug case was set at $2,000.
