Report: 2,000 movies removed from Netflix

May 1, 2013 6:14:52 PM PDT
Netflix subscribers now have about 2,000 fewer movies to watch. Mashable.com reports a licensing agreement between the Los Gatos Company and Warner Brothers, MGM and Universal expired at midnight.

Among the titles that aren't available anymore are 'Jumanji' with Robin Williams and 'Cruel Intentions' with Sarah Michelle Geller, according to Mashable.

Netflix released a statement on the issue saying in part, "We'll forego, or not renew, titles that aren't watched enough. We always use our knowledge about what our members love to watch to decide what's available on Netflix."

This story was reported by KTRK-TV's sister station, KGO-TV in San Francisco.
