Houston police say an unknown person, driving a light-colored sedan, began chasing the vehicle in which the victim was a passenger. When the suspect vehicle caught up, an occupant shot at the victim's vehicle near Hardy at Berry Road .
The victim was then found in a car off Crosstimbers at Curry outside the Brothers Market and Meat Market. The victim -- identified as 18-year-old Jose Guzman -- suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
The shooting is under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
