Suspected burglar arrested after throwing rock at gas station store window

HOUSTON

It happened at a Mobile gas station off Ella at W. 43rd St. Police say the suspected burglar used a rock to smash the glass, but a pane of plexiglass prevented him from getting his target -- cigarettes.

Officers quickly arrived and a canine bit the suspect in the groin area.

He was then arrested and taken to jail.

There have been at least five attempted smash-and-grab burglary cases around the Houston area this week.
