Parole denied for widow who killed cheating husband

HOUSTON

In 2003, Clara Harris was convicted of her husband's murder in a high-profile trial. Harris was sentenced to 20 years in prison for repeatedly running over her husband, David Harris, 44, with her Mercedes-Benz in a hotel parking lot in 2002 after confronting him with his mistress.

A parole panel of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has voted to deny parole.

Attorney George Parham, who represented Harris at trial said, "I wish the best for her. I've always worried about her children. I want a good future for everyone. It was a tragedy."

Harris' case will come up for parole review again in April 2015.
