Emanuel Joseph Babineaux, 21, is charged with murder. He's accused in the killing of 30-year-old Michael Deschaumes Jordan.
Police say on Thursday afternoon Jordan was near the driveway of a residence in the 3700 block of Campbell when he was shot several times. He died at the scene.
The male suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Houston police say further investigation developed information that identified Babineaux as the suspect in this case. Babineaux, also known as "Lil E," remains at large.
