11 indicted in Texas cocaine distribution ring

BEAUMONT, TX

An indictment unsealed Wednesday in Beaumont charge 10 suspects from Texas and one from Georgia with conspiracy to distribute cocaine. An earlier indictment also charges eight of the defendants with conspiracy to launder money.

Investigators say some members of the alleged drug ring have operated since 1995 and conspired to distribute cocaine.

The Texas defendants are from Spring, Houston, Tomball, Roma, McAllen, Hockley and Austin. One man is from Atlanta, Ga. Investigators say arrests began Wednesday and several suspects remain at large.
