Houston police say late Monday night the victim was driving a Dodge Challenger at a high rate of speed southbound in the 2700 block of West T.C. Jester Blvd. and went through the intersection at the 610 North Loop West service road. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the center median and struck a concrete pillar head-on.
The male victim, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Evidence at the scene indicated the accident is believed to be a suicide.
