Video released from failed robbery attempt at west Harris County drug store

HOUSTON

It happened back on March 18 at the drug store in the 2000 block of South Fry Road. A man walked into the business and started looking through the greeting card section. He found a card and went to the register, where he reportedly came up short on money to buy it. The clerk said the man promised to come back with more cash.

The man did return, but when he did, the clerk says he passed a threatening note, demanding the cash in the register. The clerk told him she couldn't open the register without a purchase being made.

Dejected, the suspect took his note and the card and left the store.

The suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). You might be eligible for a reward. You can also submit tips online at www.crime-stoppers.org or by texting TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). All tipsters remain anonymous.
