Bond denied for accused cop impersonator who allegedly raped teenage girl

HOUSTON

Lacorey Harris, 31, was in court Thursday, where the judge denied bond because of his criminal past. Harris is back in custody for allegedly pretending to be a police officer, threatening to arrest a 15-year-old girl and then raping her in the back seat of his car.

Those who knew him say they are shocked that a self-proclaimed minister and prophet could be capable of such a thing.

"He's been in our family. He's been real cool," said Harris' friend LaShaundra Parker. "He used to go to church with us and give us good encouraging words."

Harris has already served four years in prison for impersonating an officer. His extensive criminal history dates back to 1999 and also includes charges of theft, criminal trespass and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say if you are ever suspicious about an officer, just ask to see their identification.
