Children from across Texas and seven other states were in Houston to sing, dance and compete in other categories about Turkish language and culture.
The winners were awarded Sunday night at the Raindrop Foundation's Turkish Language and Culture Olympiad Gala, which was emceed by Eyewitness News reporter Miya Shay at the Arena Theater.
Henry Florsheim, the general manager of ABC13, also received an award for contributions to the Turkish community through media.
