John Charles Fortner is charged with a total of five counts of possession of child pornography. The charges allege that Fortner knowingly obtained and possessed multiple images and videos of child pornography with male and female victims ranging in age from 7-15 years old. The images and videos depict children and adults engaging in sex acts together.
During the investigation and search of Fortner's electronic devices, new information revealed that there may be unidentified victims of additional offenses. These devices include his computers and cellphone which contain statements regarding the possible abuse of local children.
The investigation has shown that Fortner has traveled significantly throughout the United States.
