According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on the Sam Houston Parkway ramp to the North Freeway. The rider struck an outside retaining wall, causing the victim to be thrown from the bike. That motorcycle rider died at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending the notification of family members.
No other vehicles were involved.
