Funeral held for one of two Aggies killed in wrong-way crash

HOUSTON

A funeral was held Saturday at Bethel Tabernacle on FM 1960 for 18-year-old Amy Pacheco. She, along with Miguel Hernandez, were killed March 2 when authorities say a woman driving the wrong way crashed into their vehicle.

Both students were in the university's Corps of Cadets. Pacheco was also in the ROTC at her high school. Her instructor says she remembers her fondly.

"It's just an unbelievable loss. Just knowing the kind of young lady that she was and will always remain in my heart," said Maj. Yulanda Glutz, instructor at Cesar Chavez High School. "She just had a lot of my heart and a lot of others' as well."

Members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets traveled to Houston to attend the services.
