The accident happened around 3:30am on the Northwest Freeway at Antoine Drive. Two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Authorities have confirmed at least one fatality on the scene. At least one victim was thrown from one of the vehicles, though it's still unclear from which car at this point.
The victim hasn't been identified. No other details were immediately available.
All westbound lanes were shut down for hours due to the police investigation. The accident was finally cleared just after 9am.
