It happened around midnight on New Vista near Hazyknoll in northwest Harris County. Homeowner Sarah Cervuntis says the young man who plowed into her garage was a neighbor. She says he was spotted driving erratically down the street earlier in the day, then last night he rammed the truck into her home. And he didn't stick around after the crash.
"He jumped out of the truck and ran away. My son-in-law went after him, but he took off," said Cervuntis.
She says she is thankful no one was hurt, including her pregnant daughter who was in the bedroom next to the garage at the time of the crash.
