Police arrest 2 suspects in deadly cell phone store robbery

HOUSTON

The men are accused of shooting and killing the owner of a Boost cell phone store on Telephone Road near McHenry. Police say Hamid Warrich, 62, was shot in front of his wife, two customers and three small children. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital but he didn't make it.

Investigators aren't releasing the suspects' pictures because they will be used in a line up.

On Thursday, Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland announced a new initiative to stop cell phone store robberies. They are on the rise and becoming increasingly more violent.
