Two-alarm fire at SW Houston office building

No injuries were reported, but some witnesses reported seeing smoke and haze on the eighth floor of the building

Firefighters were called to the scene of a two-alarm fire at a southwest Houston office building.

The fire broke out at about 10am in the 2400 block of Fountainview. Witnesses reported seeing smoke and haze on the eighth floor of the building. Firefighters say the heavy smoke was coming from a break room.

The building has been evacuated and no injuries have been reported.

The fire was brought under control. The cause is still under investigation.
