Single men hit the streets to find a date

HOUSTON

The bachelors were lined up by 9am along Westheimer near South Gessner and interested ladies driving by called in to the Rod Ryan radio show to land a date.

Some men say they dared to take a chance at the possibility of meeting someone they really liked.

"I signed up because I really thought it would be a good opportunity to get out and have fun and meet new people. But I thought it would be a good opportunity to actually meet somebody nice and new," said bachelor Michael Acosta. "I'm pretty social and I thought it would be entertaining thing for me and friends to enjoy. I am really hoping to meet someone very fun tonight, someone I can go on a couple of dates with and get to know and have a really good time with."

The bachelors will meet their dates at Woodrow's on Chimney Rock tonight. The radio station will be hosting the event and will provide games for the couples.
