Rain-slick roads may be responsible for a fiery crash on the northeast side of town.

It happened at around 9am Tuesday near a commercial business in the 3100 block of Parker Road near Highway 59. A driver lost control of his vehicle which slid off the road, flipped over and reportedly hit a gas meter.

The crash sparked a big fire, and the flames burned for nearly two hours until a CenterPoint Energy crew arrived.

We're told the driver was transported to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.
