It happened around 10pm at an apartment complex off South Gessner and Town Park.
Police say three masked men kicked in the door of a man's apartment and stabbing him twice in the chest.
The suspects got away, and the victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
No other details were immediately available.
