Robbery at NE Houston game room foiled by police

HOUSTON

It happened just a little after 2am on Bauman near East Crosstimbers. Investigators say an alarm went off as the suspects tried to enter the business, alerting both officers and the business owner at home.

As officers arrived, they spotted two men trying to make their way inside through a wall with a sledgehammer. Kendrick Glaze, who is friends with the business owner, says this is not the first time this has happened.

"The last time they took the DVR box, ripped it out from the wall and they took it with them," he said. "Now he has to transfer it to his house,"

This time, they didn't get away with anything.

Police say both suspects ran off into a nearby neighborhood and tried to hide in a vacant house nearby, but one was caught. An officer used a Taser to subdue him. The second suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police.
