FBI: Bank robber uses METRO bus to flee scene

HOUSTON

The robbery happened around 3:35pm at a bank in the 14600 block of Memorial Drive.

Detectives say the suspect handed a teller a threatening note which demanded money then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash without saying a word. He was last seen getting on an area METRO bus.

No weapon was used in the robbery, and no one was injured.

The "Metro Bandit" was described as a stocky-build black male who is about 5'4" and weighs around 220 pounds. He wore a black stocking hat, black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
