The organizations have teamed up for the HPOU Courtesy Ride program. The specifics are pretty straightforward -- any union member who signs up can get free rides home after a night out. All they have to do is call Yellow Cab.
Union officials decided to go full speed ahead with the courtesy ride program after successfully testing it for four months. They are encouraging other businesses and organizations to look into a similar program for their employees.
