It started at around 12:30am on I-45 near North Main, and ended on Hollister at Pitner in northwest Houston.
Police say a concerned driver called them to report the suspect. A patrol unit tried to pull him over, but the driver took off.
He went south on I-45 before going west on the loop and Highway 290. He ended up at a business before giving up.
"Around 6-10 and TC Jester, his truck's back wheels hit the guard rail, but he did not crash at that time," said Sgt. Ken Serres with the Houston Police Department.
No one was injured. The driver faces felony evading charges and a possible DWI charge.
