There are several events this weekend in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. But first we begin with a great way to rejuvinate your indoor plants.
The cold weather is keeping us most of us from gardening but how about freshing up those house plants. The folks over at Cornelius can help with their re-potting festival. It's Saturday morning from 9am-6pm. Just bring your own plants and pots and Cornelius will provide complimentary potting soil, fertilizer and top dressing to complete your project. Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday with several free events. The Black Heritage Society's MLK Children's March begins at Minute Maid Park. Then the Black Heritage Society's is hosting a community health fair and youth concert at MacGregor Park from 10am until 4:30pm. Then there are two MLK parade's Monday, both beginning at 10am. One parade originates in Midtown and the other at Minute Maid Park.
