FBI: Armed robber targets bank day after Christmas

HOUSTON

The robbery happened shortly after 5pm at the Chase Bank located at 1351 West 43rd Street, according the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.

Detectives say the suspect first walked up to the counter, grabbed a deposit slip and wrote a threatening note demanding cash. After he walked up to a teller and her the note, he then reportedly pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun from his waistband.

The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled the bank on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was clean shaven and possibly had acne scars on his face. He had light brown hair and thin light brown eyebrows.

During the heist, he was wearing wore a dark jacket and a black ball cap with a 1st Calvary Division logo on the front.
