The robbery happened just after 1pm at the BBVA Compass Bank in the 5300 block of Bellaire near Bissonnet.
Bellaire police say four suspects with handguns entered the bank and demanded money. One employee was beaten for not moving fast enough.
The suspects left in an older model SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer.
The suspects had their faces covered and were wearing gloves. Police say the heist seemed pretty organized.
